Here's what to Expect:

• The first goal for the initial session is to establish a therapeutic relationship.  The effectiveness of counseling is largely dependent on having a safe and comfortable relationship with your counselor.

• The second objective is to begin gathering information about why you're seeking services as well as some general background information. You should not feel pressured to discuss deeply personal topics during the first visit.  It is my hope to provide a safe environment that allows for a natural and effective therapeutic experience.

• Finally, there are a few short forms that will need to be completed prior to the first appointment.  These forms can also be completed online upon request.
